I am a 3rd year PhD student and Eugene Cota Robles fellow in the Cognitive and Information Sciences program at UC Merced. I received a bachelor's degree in linguistics from UC Berkeley in 2015. I study cognitive semantics and the interaction between language, cognition, and ideology from a cognitive and functional perspective. My current research focuses on the interaction between metaphor, grammar, and sociocultural identity using both corpus-based and behavioral methods.
